Transcript Requests

Central York School District utilizes Parchment for all transcript requests. 

Student, parents, and alumni can use Parchment, the leader in eTranscript exchange, to send high school transcripts electronically, securely and confidentially, all with real-time tracking. Parchment is a secure credentialing service that maintains high school and college transcripts for 10,000+ students and alumni. Central York High School must use Parchment to access their high school transcript and/or to send it to college admissions offices, employers, recruiters, etc. Please review this important information about using Parchment:

 

Creating an Account

The BEST way to create an account is to click on the link that Parchment emails to students (usually in the junior year). If you do not use the email link to create your account,  you will NOT have access to SEE your transcript in your account. Current students who have not received this email can message cyhscounseling@cypanthers.org  to request this. When creating your Parchment account, you should use a PERSONAL email address and be sure to check ALL boxes on the setup screen. ​​​​​​​

Transcript Release Form

Current students are required to submit parent permission for Central to release their transcript. Because high school transcripts contain confidential grades and test scores, the transcript cannot be sent to another entity unless the parent gives permission by submitting the Consent to Release Transcript form.

Ordering a Transcript

To order a transcript, log on to parchment.com with the email address and password that you used when you set up your account.  If you cannot remember which email address you used, the CYHS Counseling Office may be able to help you figure this out. We do NOT have any access to the password that you set up. For this, you must use the “Forgot Your Password?” link. Scroll down to see your Central York High School transcript & click “Order”. You can also view your transcript from this screen by clicking on the small picture of the transcript. If that transcript does not include all final grades from the most recent semester, click on the word “Update” directly below the transcript. Your transcript will be updated within a few business days (at the same time that your transcript is sent wherever you order it to be sent).
 

Type in the name of the organization and select it from the list.  

Please note that we will NOT send you a copy of your own transcript, so do not select “I’m sending to myself”. Confirm the details of your transcript request, sign in  the box, and follow the prompts to submit the order.

If a semester is very close to ending or has just ended, change “Send Now” to “Hold for Grades” on this screen.

Track your order by clicking on your “Orders” at the   very top of the screen. Most transcripts are sent by   CYHS within two business days, but it could take up to  10 business days – so please don’t wait until the last minute to request your transcript! It is not a problem   for colleges to receive your transcript before you submit your application, so feel free to request transcripts  ahead of time.
