Grade 3 Social Studies Overview

Course Description

This course focuses on building students’ knowledge of their role and the role of others within their community, state, nation, and world. Geographical tools, historical documents, landmarks, symbols, and cultures are explored as ways to understand past and present ways of life.

  • Leadership roles will be defined within each component.
  • Geographical tools can be used to identify and locate places.
  • Historical documents, symbols, and landmarks hold significance within the state and nation.
