North Hills and Sinking Springs Elementary Students took over Panther Stadium for the 2024 Jeffrey L. Fox Memorial Track Meet!
The event brings fourth, fifth, and sixth graders from across the District together for a day of competition and fun. The day includes various track and field events, a tug-of-war tournament, lunch, music, and games.
The first track meet at the high school was held in 1992 thanks to Mr. Fox and Mr. Wisler, a current physical education teacher at Sinking Springs. Mr. Fox was a dedicated teacher and principal for the District for twenty-three years before losing his battle with cancer in 1996. That same year, the event was named, “The Jeffrey L. Fox Memorial Track Meet” as a tribute to the blood, sweat, and tears that Mr. Fox had shed for the students in Central York. His memory and spirit of caring continue to live on throughout the #Panther Community.
