Central York High School Students in Miss Jackson’s English IV class recently immersed themselves in Dante Alighieri’s classic epic poem piece, Inferno.

The readers were paired up as “lawyers” to deliver closing arguments in favor of a soul trapped in Limbo, with the goal of getting them into Heaven.

These Panther legal teams created their own law firms, slogans, and delivered their closing arguments to the grand jury in order save the said soul in theme with the story!

The presentations give students the chance to apply concepts and ideas from the reading to real world scenarios in a fun, creative, and interactive classroom activity.
