The Central York High School Optimist Club and advisors Ms. Grove and Mrs. Goodrich recently partnered with Fostering Hope York. The club worked to create birthday boxes for foster children in York County, Pennsylvania. Each of the 11 boxes are filled with toys, balloons, candy, and other various birthday items. 

The items were collected by all members of the Optimist Club, and we were also able to provide gift cards that were donated by local organizations and businesses. These boxes will then be given to foster kids on their birthday, as many of these kids don't get to properly celebrate their birthdays. 

We are CYSD Proud of these students for taking the initiative to develop this program to benefit members of our community.
