I am the Reading Specialist at CYHS. I am very excited to teach our reading course at the high school called, Current Topics in Reading! When I'm not teaching, I like to spend time with teachers and students in other classes.

I live in Hummelstown, PA.  I enjoy watching my kids'  activities, shopping, scrapbooking, watching movies, eating- out and of course, READING! If you know of a great book that I just have to read, please let me know!!

READING AND WRITING IN THE CONTENT AREAS

"Adolescents entering the adult world in the 21st century will read and write more than at any other time in human history. They will need advanced levels of literacy to perform their jobs, run their households, act as citizens, and conduct their personal lives." -- Richard Vaca, author of Content Area Reading: Literacy and Learning Across the Curriculum

Teachers at CYHS continue to help students reach high levels of learning by providing reading and writing strategies in their classrooms of all disciplines.
