Welcome to the home of
English III 5th Block,
Honors English III 5th Block, and
AP Literature and Composition!

Course Descriptions:

AP Literature and Composition
Students will navigate through literature as literary scholars. There will be a heavy focus on research and in-depth analysis of literature. Students will compose writing through an analysis and evaluative lens. The focus will shift from the content of the literature, as studied in prior English courses, to the author's style of building a text. This course is for those who wish to challenge their perceptions, deepen literary understanding, enhance personal, formal writing, and prepare for college level discussions.

Please know that I am aware of technological difficulties that come with a 1:1 school environment. Flexibility and patience are necessary as we work toward meeting our course work goals. Please communicate with me and I'd be more than happy to help any students and guardians through this semester!

Honors English I students have been given course access codes for Schoology. Parents and guardians may email me at to gain parental access to your students course work.

Students who enroll for AP Literature and Composition will have pre-course work. All students must read The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck prior to the first class. The PDF of the novel and other prerequisite work is available on the AP Literature and Composition website under Summer Work Expectations.
