The
CYHS Career Center opened in September, 1998, and has since become the
hub of career activities in the high school. Many resources for the
Career Center were purchased with funds from a School-to-Career Grant
from Campbell Chain (Cooper Industries). It is a one-stop career
resource center for students, staff, and community members. Students can
use the Career Center for classroom projects, career research, speaking
with college representatives or Armed Services recruiters, career
presentations, or for a variety of other career activities.
The Career Center offers:
- Computer software, such as Choices, with large occupation and college databases
- Military career and ROTC program information
- Career interest and aptitude assessments
- Resume building assistance
