Grad Cap

Commencement Exercises for the Central York High School Class of 2016 will be held at 6:45PM Friday, May 27, 2016, in the Central York High School Athletic Stadium (weather permitting). The ceremony will be streamed live via the following link:

In the case of inclement weather, a decision will be posted as to the graduation location by 3:00/3:30 pm on May 27h.  Please check the CYSD website at Central York School District.  If the ceremony location is changed, a "Global Connect" call will be made between 3:00-3:30 pm on 5/27/16. 

Please be advised that there are three entrances available for commencement parking. The tennis courts entrance, the main entrance, and if you are traveling from the west you will have the option (weather permitting) to turn left onto Mundis Race Road and travel along the road (past John Rudy Park) to North Sherman Street.  You will be directed by Fire Police onto campus using an additional access point for our graduation event.



Final exams for 9th, 10th and 11th grade students will be held on May 31, and June 1, 2016.

You will also find information regarding absences during finals, and iPad collection times. Please note the slight change in dismissal time from our normal 1/2-day schedule. Students will be dismissed at 11:45.

Governor Wolf recently signed legislation adjusting the PA graduation requirements.

You can learn more about the changes here, in a letter from Mr. Grove and Mr. Caufman.  Also, a chart has been prepared with the CYSD current graduation requirements.  You can find that chart at this link.

Glow Run 2016

Central York High School's Interact Club will be hosting the second annual "Glowing the Distance" 5K Glow Run to raise money for UNICEF to benefit the Syrian refugee crisis on Friday, May 20th.

Panther Pantry

Please note that the Panther Pantry will now officially operate from 5-6 PM.

The Pantry will be open on the following dates:

All schools are asked to donate nutritious food, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent and paper products.

Attention All Juniors!

CYHS has partnered with Parchment to send all transcripts electronically.  These transcripts are typically required by colleges, military recruiters, employers and many others.  Letters will be arriving at your home this week with more information, and a code for registration.
